Thats the next one i would LOVE to get... but.... would mean another tank as neither Flash nor Snoopy would like to share theirs so.... guess it wont be anytime soon.

Well, to be fair, the little Crossback was imported when he was about 5.3¨ small. And the exporteur (Jeffrey Tan) told the importeur that he can try to select some Bluebase but he can not guarantee that they are really gonna turn out Bluebase because at the size around ~5¨ you can't really tell for 100% sure. The certificate says it's a Bluebase Crossback and the Arowana was bred by 'Wah Seah'.

After all I don't really care if he/she is Bluebase or not because I always "only" wanted a nice Crossback Arowana. BUT I can see some blue-ish shimmer depending on the light above him/her, although I'm not sure if thats normal for any Crossback or not.

He/she was in a WTT until he got exported, which was around 5 weeks ago.

Thanks you for the kind words. I hope those amazing animals will some day be legal in the US, although I don't really think it's gonna happen, sadly.

I'm feeding him a lot of things, from floating sticks, pellets, fish (smelt) and shrimps to mealworms and crickets. What he loves the most is mealworms.

wait for it to grow and let's see how it progress..

i am still waiting for my bbxb to look like a xb... at the moment it looks like a highback but i love him all the same :)

My current background color is kinda light brown/almost golden. My lights are 4500k daylight LED floodlights.
