very chlorine intolerant tetra as a sentry

I have my fish room on a drip that runs through catalytic carbon. In time the chloramines in my water will exhaust the carbon. I test periodically but want to set up tank to use as a sentry for the system. Any tetra suggestion that will make a good look out. I am thinking of using rummy nose but want some more ideas.

Can add some cardinal tetras in there. Sensitive to water changes and poor water quality.

The water companies use elephant nose fish for this purpose.

They are more expensive and harder to breed than tetras, so they may not make such good canaries for you.

Stage 1 - 1 micron sediment
Stage 2 - 5 micron carbon matrikx cto
Stage 3 - .6 micron carbon matrikx cto plus
Stage 4 - catalytic carbon in refillable container

Is chloramine your main concern regarding the "canary" tetra? I think you'd have to be dumping a ton of water in rapidly for chlorine to be an issue unless you had discus, uaru or the sort. The chlorine burns off pretty quick with aeration.

Wow you are sparing no expense on that system. Why'd you go that route versus what most others do?
