I have the Marineland lids on my 125. It's 4.5" glass, hinge, 10" glass, 2.5" plastic piece at the back that's trimmable for cutouts like tubing for filters. Not truly 2 piece. Then again that's the only way I've ever seen lids come.

By 3 piece, they mean there are three sections of glass. There are some 6 foot tanks that do require 3 sections of glass.
