Much appreciated Jay! Im finally gearin up and gettin motivated again for completion on his tank i started almost 5 years ago now. Will be at a snails pace as i keep saving funds, sell off odds and ends to also help fund it and aquire the rest of materials i need. Have a decent start tho with 3 acrylic windows here already, brand new reeflo hammerhead collecting dust and the main metal frame completed yrs ago now. its time this boy gets what he deserves. New footprint is 14'x8'x4'

Those are jawdropping dimensions, I'm pumped just thinking about it! That would be my dream tank, yes it would!

I sure hope so, big as i can go in house... water height will only be filled to around 36". im not certain my foundation can handle it but im all in at this point. ive had 12' 1700gal pools in the same spot it will reside in no prob. fingers crossed lol...

I wouldnt worry about foundations the psi pressure on the floor over such a large footprint is very low i worked mine out yesrs ago and it was nothing.here was my frameView attachment 1271539

Well thats great news :) , was jealous when urs went up before mine lol...but happy for ya as it turned out very well and u put one of my favorite cat sp. in there p. corruscans. Did u use full fiberglass and resin also? and
What grade bolts did you use to attach the walls together. im looking at grade 8's but think it may be unnecessary.

I lined the frame in 1inch thick marine ply.dont think it needs to be marine ply but i got wood at half price so went for the best grade wudnt use any less than an inch tho. And then had it fully fibreglassed yes with a gelcoat ontop. The bolts are grade 8.8 and 10 mm or 12mm diameter cant remember i have 8 from top to bottom also over kill.heres an old pic15041034007021484842479.jpg
