Beautiful pair of JDs, how big are yours. Is your male an EB, or is he just in his breeding dress? Mine are around 3.5 for the male and 3.25 for the female.

I was wondering about that ocellifer. I have been thinking of getting one for my JD tank since they only get to 8in not to big for a 55g, but all the pictures I have seen of them is a more of a white main body not soo dark as yours. Might that just be a juvinile thing?

possibly. He is around 5.5" or so. I have him in with my dempsey pair, and he actually drives the male nuts. He likes to swim underneath my male quite a bit. Not sure what thats about yet. Started about a month ago. All my other syno pay no attention to the dempseys at all.

He hit the nail on the head. Angelicus/euruptus
He's a gorgeous fish. Even though I'm not a big fan of hybridizing fish, I have to say he is absolutely stunning.

May I ask what his personality is like? Is he active, aggressive, curious etc? :)

He kinda just minds his own business. Not people shy at all. And is out and about probably the most out of all the syno. During the day time.
I wanna say i bought him from imperial tropicals? Not positive though.
