Peacock bass and pellets

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'll try pellets only for about 3 days and hopefully they take...Fingers crossed
Don't give in after a mere three days....that's nothing to a fish lol.

No and they certainly won't starve after that short period of time.

Try soaking the pellets in bloodworm when you defrost it. I have the same problem with my.

I easily turned my bass from live to pellets. All I did was discontinue feeders and put in those same carnivore pellets until he ate them. Now he'll eat as many as I put in the tank...once he actually goes for them, that is! Sometimes he'll get scared and won't take the pellets right away...most of the time he swallows them before they hit the ground! I feed him three a day, plus a shrimp pellet to distract him so my bichir can eat! Your bass seems similar in size to mine, if not a little smaller. Hopefully you'll have your bass on pellets soon!

Starving them is a good option and I also meshed the pellets with market shrimp. Took them awhile but eventually hunger gave in for them.

My concern is also same .. mine are just 3" .. I have bought em just yesterday .. they are very skittish .. lfs fed em exclusively with live feeders .. is it tha right time to starve em and change or should I wait till they grow to 6" may be to starve and change .. any advise is of great help guys
