Would suggest posting your water parameters.

If able to qt then do so. Treat with some maracyn2. Works well with pop eye. If you place in the main tank then will kill ur BB.

Check your water and change it out. Then redose the medication. After the treatment then wait for the BB come back.
 
I can't seem to find any Maracyn 2 at local pet stores. I have a bottle of Maracyn that is kind of old will that work? All I see at local pet stores is Melafix. Will that work?

If I find Maracyn 2 online how much do I need to purchase? I am treating fish in a 40 gallon breeder.

If you get the API liquid test kit then it'll check for everything which is nice. Things to monitor is ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

It should be prepackaged for a one time course. I assume 5 days. Been a while since used it. But would get 2 packets. I usually will repeat again after a course if improvement and need some more time.

It has a broader coverage for bacteria so would advise to get it.
 
With Google I found out Maracyn 2 is no longer in production.... I'll do water changes every other day until I can find a suitable remedy.
