How do you test this? Strips or liquid?
That tank is way overstocked. Full stop.
How hard is really hard? Did you test Kh or Gh?
So including your sump the volume is 115 gallons (90+25) and that's a lot of fish. What flow rate is the return pump, and can we get photos of your magical sump?

What a sump is rated for is totally irrelevant honestly.
It comes down to how efficient you have the media and flow set up.
Your sump can be advertised “rated” for 200g but if you don’t have the right media it could be as efficient as a whisper 10 hang on back.....

I have a filter pad then bio balls and Idk what brand of pump it is but I believe it’s rated for 1200 gph I’ll try to find out what it is I also keep a air stone in my sump
