P13 base color turns grey-ish

Sup folks.. i just noticed one of my BD ray his base color turns from black to grey ish
/light black color a couple days ago.. he is still eating well so far. Is this something that i need to be worried about? Is he stressed out? I use white tile i wonder if he is trying to blend in with the tile?

People will use white tile to lighten up thier rays. One of my friends just did that and his marbles lightened right up.

I guess it depends on the situation. My own personal rays have lightened and darkened over the years. With and without substrate. When they got too light I got concerned but never had a real issue other than my anxiety. lol.

BD can have a greyness to their base colour. It is nothing to worry about and they usually darken with age

Ok cool because some fishes lose their color when they stressed out.. e.g flowerhorn.. so i was worried if it is the same as stingrays.

Im asking incase it is a sign of a potential disaster and i wanna fix it before it is too late

40-60ppm

Mine went lighter in lower nitrate. 40-60 sounds safe enough.
