Whats it matter why he doesn't want to disclose his fish? I've been a member for years and had an account before this one and I still don't share most of my fish. Maybe he's just as private at me. Or maybe more private? Just because he has a personal reason not to tell you what he has doesn't mean you have he right to derail and make assumptions about his fish because you are curious to what he has.
Also I see a ton of vendors selling stuff to mfk and I don't see everyone running to share what they brought. Why don't u go ask them why they won't share since they're also part of this forum.
If u have a hard time handling the idea of one monster fish kill other monsterfish then maybe you're in the wrong forum. Heck there's a thread dedicated to bichirs eating...everything.
This is the marketplace and he is clearly asking for extra large fish and NOT advice on what he can keep his fish with. And correct me if I'm wrong. The marketplace is for selling of fish not the discussion of what we do with the fish.
Drew even before you open your mouth I've been on this forum since 2005 and one of the most active members since then. FYI I am not a newbie been keeping fish for long time and probably been keeping fish older than you are.
I also used to own a pet store so I know the laws. On fishkeeping hobby it's all about the money and what you can afford to buy and keep. So we don't need to disclose what we have.
To stop your curiosity here read carefully this is what I have I have an orca killer whale on my 5 gallon tank. Did that solve your curiosity? Lol
I simply suggested that he share his fish with us because a) that is what MFK is about, sharing fish, and b) it may help members make suggestions on tankmates for him.
I made no assumptions about what Chris has and doesn't have. Chris, you certainly have the right to be private about it but I don't understand posting about it on a public forum if you want it to stay private, that's all.
Not everybody on here shares everything they have - but I have never come across anybody on this forum or any other forum that simply will not disclose what they have. That strikes me as odd - but to each his own
I have no problem with fish killing fish, it's what they do. But I do have a problem with people that throw fish in together that are basically guaranteed to fight to the death, because they think it will be a "cool" combination. Again - I never said anything about Chris doing this.
Chris, I have not said anything about you being a noob, and I don't doubt that you have experience in this hobby.
No need to get all defensive over a few fish - I'm just a guy asking a question to try and help out, clearly it is not appreciated though. Best of luck with your "stupid fish", "expensive fish", and "cheap fish".
