so almost 2 months ago I gave a new 72 gallon bowfront with stand lids eheim 2075 filter and lights to my sister as there was a breeding group of guppys in a puddle that she wanted to keep. The initial point of the experiment was based on the idea that guppys do not have a negative effect on water quality and they can live in stagnant conditions. So the guppys were back there for the summer, reproduced and then brought inside. The tank is running perfectly, sister at age 12 is maintaining it very well. Guppies have since tripled in numbers. Pics to share

That's an impressive tank for someone so young.

The kid does a good job. She maintained my reef while I was gone as well. That's why I gave it to her

good job that's what this hobby needs more younger peoples interest
Oh man it does, I'm already 6 tanks in with 2 more on the way...

Very nice tank! Guppies are great critters but notoriously hard to keep down here, well until the first generation is born. Looks like she really has the hang of things ;)

She's also getting a pair of clownfish for my tank. She picked them. Occellaris and black occel

That is a very nice setup. Kudos to you for being generous to your little sister and kudos to her for being responsible at that age.

Have to give her credit for that. Kid is responsible when it comes to caring for animals. We bought her a puppy for Christmas 5 years ago after ours past away. She fed it, walked it, took complete care of it when she was 8 or so. Now those two are inseparable aha, Chase (the name she gave it) doesn't leave her side. Sleeps beside her every night and I can guarantee nothing bad could happen to her when the dog is around. Good kid, wants a reef tank though

Christmas is coming up, what size tank will fit down the chimney? I had a 30 tall saltwater tank when I was 13 or 14. Mowed a hell of a lot of grass to set that up.
