Come on, the pics are no better than without the app. Phones are just no made to take good pics and if you are insulted by that fact, I am sorry. Not saying you can't take good pics with a phone, but you would need a heap of equipment to get the lighting ideal.
My sister is a professional photographer so I have seen a lot of good photos and enough knowledge to take a good photo for myself. You're right that phone app is nowhere or anyways to compare to a good camera but you don't need to slap the door to the OP face, he's just being nice to share an app that might interest someone that got same mind set like him, I myself don't care for the app either but I just don't comment about it, everyone has their own point of views and different opinions and there are plenty of ways to address your comments, concern about it in a mature professional manner
Another point to make is for $3 I haven’t found something to compare. It definitely enhances the coloration under actinics. It even costs less then Filter films. The point of this wasn’t to say this app is a be all end all of photographing an aquarium but to just point out a cheap color correction Filter is available. I bought this app because I saw a post about it on the R2R forum and the reviews were good so I thought I would give it a try. Would I say it’s amazing? Definitely not. Does it do the job I was hoping it would do? Yes. It filters out the blue. Am I happy with it? For the price it does what you would expect. It’s not a substitute for a $1000 camera but it could very well be a substitute for the $10 Filter films. So yes I’m happy with it. Does what it was designed for
I’m not here to pump the app up. But to say that picture one is no better than picture 2 is just blatantly stupid
It's blatantly stupid to say you have a12 inch cardinal tetra but it never stopped him.
I think the app shows a massive difference in the picture quality and I thank the op for taking the time and effort to share.

I did not say it doesn't look better, I said you don't need an app to take pics like that on your phone. And that I said the pics still look like crap with or without the app. I don't know why you are bothering to make the app at all??? You don't need an app to take pics like that with your phone.
Gonna cry now. What a bunch of over sensitive babies. And my 12" cardinal is my pride and joy, lets see you grow a cardinal to 12 inches!!!
