Asian arowana barbels

Hi my Asian arowana has had a skitzz out yesterday and messed his face up big time. It’s shredded it’s face to bits and it has one barbel hanging off. I’ve just done a nice water change for him. I’m wondering if these barbels grow back I’ve read that they do and I’ve read that they don’t.

I’ll attach photos after he tries his great escape from my tank.

Any info would be great and if I’ve missed anything please just ask and I’m happy to answer.

It’ll most probably grow back unless there’s some kind of infection on the wound

It only happened yesterday and I’m on top of the water conditions.

As has been said, the barbels usually grow back so long as it doesnt infect

It will take some time but she should be ok

Agreed. If the break occurred deep in the root then it may not grow back. If the break is the main part of the barbel, then it should grow back.
