I see them at almost every LFS in Massachusetts and the chain stores, ellioti are regularly available at one store.

I would love to find a group of passiones or helleri- Stanzz of those two which tends to me more ornately colored?
not in my fish stores...Shool of Fish or any of the chain stores I live inSpringfield

Oh Nice I was in NoHo/Amherst/south Hadley for 11 years.
Dave’s soda and pet city in agawam and Hadley are good. It’s a shame exotic fish and pet of hadley/easthampton closed. They had all kinds of specialty fish, never made it to school of fish as it was never open when I was nearby.

If you have the time to take a drive Some day Uncle Neds fish factory is the best cichlid store on the east coast and from what I’ve seen, I’d agree.

That’s much more reasonable-

Is Plan B still open at the hall of fame?
Miss that place

Helleri without doubt.
Pasionis have their own qualities but won't match helleri for colour.

Helleri, IMO
Although the yellow guys can be good looking too!

And I have firemouths around me regularly, however these guys have way more blue on them and a lot more blue speckling. I wouldn’t be super surprised if they where some kind of Thorichyths soup hybrids that the farms have bred. But damn are they pretty bastards. I’ll try to catch a picture of one next time I run in for live brine shrimp.
