Don't know about the Pike but Bichir could work just make sure they both are comparable in size.

Bichirs are good tankmates. Had a pike with a red wolf and didn’t end well. Not a good mix.

Depends on tank size.

Yes, tank size plays a big role and as for amount of bichirs id say if you want one just keep one and if you want more than one you would need 3-4 to disperse aggression.
