Angel fish help sick

Hi guys this is one of my angel fish he is huge 5.5 across and probably 9 inches top to bottom he has been doing well and so have all the other fish till I came home today his one eye looks a little swelled but not like pop eye I’ve seen and he’s a little red on that spot what is worng and what can I do to fix it

He was acting fine but sadly he passed I woke up today with him at the bottom and no eyes left

By chance you wouldn’t happen to have a big ghost knife in your tank would you? They are netorious eye eaters and will often attack when the lights are out.

Yes I have my ghost knife in there he’s 6 inches and I haven’t had a problem with him He was in there with him for 6 months
