The more I look at this fish, the more it impresses me. He's settled in really well, and is actually taking prawns from my hand.

The upgrade, is just starting to kick off. Not what I was planning, but a temporary house for the next year. As the shear cost of a all glass 16ft aquarium is ridiculous. And I'm still saving up.

Going for a 4800L koi vat with viewing window. Although, this means removing the fish from the large tank in to a temporary pond. Moving the 8x4 tank to the other wall for the brachyplatystoma roussixii to grow out in and then installing the koi vat in the fish room. A lot of work to be done over the next month or so.

But here's some pictures of the cats. 27" and 20" meglodoras and of course, big nige. Oxydoras Niger, as you can see he's becoming quiet huge.

on october 21st I learned about the ripsaw at 2 am online then at 730 am I saw a pair of 3' ones at a truck stop of all places
ripsaw.jpg

the next day I went to a LFS in houston that had x6 1' ones for sale. I get back to Dallas and the next week I find one for sale at 2 different LFS

Needless to say I fell in love with them and can't wait till I have a setup that can hold some of these monsters like your awesome one. Till then I have to settle for their smaller cousins the striped and spotted raphaels

great picture.

Yes, even I'm struggling to house him now, due to his growth. But, once the upgrades in. This should be okay, providing he's almost fully grown.

yeah if I hadn't seen those 2 full grown ones in person I might of tried to get one of the ones I saw but seeing them made me realize exactly how big they get so I'm going to have to wait

Thanks moe.

Yes. He's got quite big. I'm working on the upgrade. Not an overnight thing unfortuanlty. Will look great once all sorted I hope. Will try to make this one more a biotope tank if it works out as I plan.
