Anyone paint their aquarium background red?

I was set on painting my 125 blue with black sand. I like this look but then it hit me that maybe I should try red. It would certainly be unique. The only fish in the tank will be a H. malabaricus(Wolf fish).

Any pictures? Or are there some down sides for the fish to have a red background?

Pretty sure fish csnt see red so I don’t think it will affect it.

I'd try it with some red wrapping paper (or the likes) first to see if you like it.

I've used blue cellophane type wrapping paper and foil for backgrounds in the past. Looked pretty nice IMO.

Good point! I'll grab some 1 dollar construction paper and see how it looks.
