I have a tank that is 48"x12"x21" (LxWxH) Is this a 75 gallon aquarium or is it smaller? I was told it was 75 but i am thinking it might not be :/

It isn't 75. At the top of this page just under the MonsterFishKeepers.com banner, you will see HOME, FORUMS, MEDIA, MEMBERS, AC FORUMS and TANK CALCULATOR. Of course, it should be TANK CALCULATOR, but if you click on it, you will easily be able determine the size of any tank you may have.
So it is a 52 gallon aquarium? did not know that was such a thing...

It's a standard 55g tank. Advertised gallon and actual gallon on commercial made tanks is not always exactly the same. A standard 75g would have a 18" front to back width.
