All good sometimes the site will post your response but on your end it doesn't seem so and you keep pressing post reply, if that's what happened...

isn't that a bit risky? i've heard dorados do not die too easily but maybe..... i should practice with easier , smaller fish in smaller, easier maintenance tanks ? what do you think?
How about raising up medium sized fish that can be future dithers, then if you know
You're getting the big pond, you can buy a dorado, and introduce it with the dithers. Can do red hooks, barbs, brycon. Those are generally hardy

Hmmmm i'll take brycon, but right now i can't have a tank enough to house even a dentex so how about hatchetfish ? What is the minimum tank dimensions for a single brycon dentex?

Aquarium Size – Strangely enough, the larger the aquarium that you start with, the less work that you will have to put into maintenance and cleaning. Not only do larger aquariums ensure that the water parameters remain stable, they also a give you more breathing space when it comes to water changes – unlike smaller aquariums which tend to crash if you miss the weekly water change.

Because the water tends to remain more stable in larger aquariums, you won’t be presented with nearly as many fish related emergencies, and you can spend more time enjoying your fish – instead of trying to save them. That’s not to say that smaller aquariums won’t work too. They just tend to be a bit more difficult for a beginner.

The main obstacle in keeping big game fish is the tank size. A dorado is quite similar to a Brycon dentex, just bigger. I guess my question to you is, how sure are you that you are getting this massive aquarium? I saw in another thread, that you said your Mom was buying it for you. Does she have any idea how much it costs? If you live in North America, large tanks are quite expensive.
