That had me initially too but apparently the tank either has no water or the level is very low.You can tell by the glare on the objects around the spider.

Yes this is what I figured as well, stump is outside the water level, would be a super cool look!

Here’s a quick snapshot of my tank...yes, there’s a little stump sticking out of the water which is home to the spider. Not sure what kind of spider, but there are a lot of black widows around here. Could be a baby?

Black widow normally has red abdomen and black body so dont think its one???

Babies tend to be brownish/tan when young. This spider is probably 1cm
