Great to hear that.

Great news. It must have been a nightmare having the power off.

I’ve found the worst part of power outages is the anaerobic bacteria that can build up in media. When power comes back on it pumps in the tank and depletes the o2 super fast. So wc’s And pumping a bunch of o2 is the only real way to combat it.

When the filters are stopped for prolonged period of time, best is to drain all the water from them and keep the media moist. This way the media doesn't turn anaerobic and you keep the nitrifying bacterai alive as it has access to aerial O2..

Yep! If you’re home for that of course.

Are all fish and water perameters ok ?

Yes, the only thing that I noticed my pearl Stingray lost the tip of his tail maybe 1/8” of it. No other symptoms afterward. I did my water change on schedule and fed very lightly this week I will recheck parameter this weekend to see where they are. Monday afternoon before water change parameters where 0 ppm ammonia 0 nitrite and nitrates were high, a tad higher than 40 definitely not 80 ppm hard to tell between these two colors on the test kit. Other than that all is well Thank you for asking
