The yellows are a more slender fish than reds.

I also noticed that the yellow is very skittish and doesn’t strike at the food aggressively

Once they get bigger, close to a foot, it’ll get less skittish.

Has anyone grown these to adult size? I was thinking about picking some up

Where are they available? I used to see them readily available at SA only

They’re usually seasonal fish. Which means our winter is there summer and that’s when my Lfs gets them in. Usually they come in small to super tiny. My redtail was a trade in.

Deifinitely seasonal and thankfully seen a bit more often atleast online I do.
