Finally made to the Shark Valley in the Everglades Park. It's true, they do have alligators everywhere!!! They just lay around all over the main road. It's kind of shocking and surreal. They totally ignore people. I counted at least 10 of them.

Glad to see you back states side.

We have had two smaller ones, ~6', living in one of our ponds for the past half a year. Plenty of walking catfish for them to crunch on. They still have baby yellow stripes. Probably 2-year olds.

I agree. I can't get used to them either. Must be the Eastern European (Soviet?) thing haha
 
yes, We never had krokodiles or alligators in Soviet Union. but we did have hedgehogs. people in the country side would often leave milk for them
In all fairness, we did have one Crocodilian specimen. Gennady.
 
Went to Florida right before that last hurricane hit,only saw a couple gators,but tons of Florida soft shells and lizards
