Cichlid and BGK tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What is the difference? Lol sorry don't know much in that section :/

Planted tanks have plants lol.
However an aquascaped tank is sort of like landscaping with plants, carefully placed rocks and driftwood etc which achieve a desired effect, I highly recommend that u check out aquascaping.

Oh I always thought planted tanks were aquascaping...
I am going to have a bunch of rocks and wood ... plus plants

Denison barbs are a schooling fish like Tetras, best kept in a group. I had a group of 4 till my O' ate one.

They are great fish, one of the best cleaners out there. They clean up the cloud of food that Toni spits out her gills when she eats. They even eat her poop, and clean up any left over food on the bottom if your tank.

Guess I could up to 4 barbs... I kind of wanted it to stand out as one but I guess 4 would look better

I am getting a 150 hopefully today and this is the planned stocking:
BGK x1
Clown Loaches x5
Hi-Fin Pleco x1
Angelfish x6
M Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlid x1
F Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlid x3
Congo Tetras x7
Yellow-Banded Tetra x7
Denison Barb x4
And I have space for more fish as majority of these are not very large.
I was wondering. Could a bichir live with these fish? I like them but don't want an entire tank of them. I only want 1-2

Bichirs will eat most of those smaller fish bud. Even the small species are predatory. I had a Senegal that was around 8", attempt to eat a 4" pictus cat. The cat got lodged in his throat and lost both fish unfortunately. If you like the elongated look, a peacock spiny eel should go well with that stock.

I got the tank!!!
I will post pictures later. My plan is to make a thread how this tank goes from ugly to amazing :)
The tank is not so much as ugly but dirty. Now that I see the size of the tank my mind is immediately thinking "how big of a fish can I put in there? Lol
