Lack of oxygen? Have you got good surface movement?
What size tank and arowana, any tank mates?
What arowana?
Water parameters?

How long have you had the Aro?
Is the aquarium fully cycled?
Was the Aro eating?
Are there any tankmates in with the Aro?

Tank cycled for three days then you put in an arrow, a pima, and a bicher? What is your water change schedule

It could be possible he swam into something, but that is the best picture I could get of the Aro and it is the biggest fish in the tank compared to the Arapaima!

I did not put them all in first I put some small cichlids in first to see how they would do and they did fine for a 2weeks and then I bout the Aro, then the bicher and then the Arapaima like a week or two between each other.
