Need help bracing my 300 gallon!

wassup MFK so all the local places that cut glass only have .25 inch glass and I need .5 I have to brace the top of the tank on the right side, would it be save to buy TWO .25 inch glass pieces to make .5? The dimensions for the brace is 28 1/8 x 5 thanks

I believe it would actually be stronger than using .5 inch... just make sure that the glass is well secured to each other and. The tank...
