Your current bichir is a delhezi, an upper jaw that may only reach a maximum of a foot. With your plans I think you would do better with a lower jaw species of bichir. These are the big boys that can hit 20”+. You might want to consider a congi, endli, or PBB or a large type upper jaw like an ornate.

silver aro can grow to 3 foot long. It will need at least 250 gallon tank. You might considering the length and wide when choosing the tank, the longer and wider are better for noodle.

Yep! I have a tank all planned out. A lot of people are saying 8x2. But I’m thinking 8x3.
