the temp keeps rising in my 260 with no heater. I looked at the graph on my Apex and discovered the timers on the impellers got screwed up. The blue line is the temp. The red bars represent when two impellers we’re going on - 1 hour on and 1 hour off. Looks to me to be the culprits!

What mode Apex do you have? I made that same mistake when I first setup the Fusion too. Some of the slots on the pier at are preset for skimmers, wave makers etc. you have to configure them for your own use.

I still have one slot I can’t change

Its an Apex Fusion with a wd module, temp and two impellers. I have two open slots. I used to have lights connected also but they are programmable so I run them straight of the protected strip with the filters. The Apex has been fine but I have seen settings change. Would not use the heater without a failsafe backup.

I'm a bit confused, is having the two pumps on at the same time producing enough heat to overheat the tank, or did actually put the heater on a timer in place of one of the pumps?

The motors on the impellers are generating the heat. I don't have any heaters in this tank. The only other source of heat is the inline blueline 70HD (and two small pumps on a canister and a fluidized bed filter) but it runs constantly. The tank is in a south facing room (sunny up here) and the inline pump keeps it a pretty steady 80-82f (26 - 28c) deg while outside temps fluctuate from 0f to 100f in the Summer.
