Insane fish store prices

I do stop in there from time to time for a laugh. The thing is some how they always have new fish that I assume we’re dropped off and it seems they sell them at these insane prices.
I used to frequent that shop often due to the epic thrift store next door. I mostly pop in for the laughs and the oddball fish. One incident in particular ruined it for me.
There was a 8" texas cichlid, I'm sure for $200-$300, but it had a very obvious and out of control fungal infection on it's face. I was disgusted by the price for a fungus, but also that the shop is run on a central system. Essentially everything in there was at risk, and anyone who brought anything home was putting their own fish at risk. Unbelievably unethical and borderline criminal. I said nothing to the kid making minimum wage behind the counter, just left and never returned.

They use it in this way: if you have no legal source of income, but have a new Mercedes in front of your house bought with drug money , people get suspicious, but if you operate and own a few stores, you can make it look like the money comes from there, ever notice how some businesses don't get many customers but somehow don't close down?
It's the same one I've talked to you about.. right now they have like 6 different types of bass.. intermedia.. pinima.. xingu..blue.. kelberi and I think 1 other
