The thought makes me cringe. Just spray with vinegar cover with paper towels and use a straight razor blade to easily remove any build up. No need to put them in the dishwasher.
Not sure all the soap residue will be gone. Again let us know if you try.
Hello; No thanks on the lick although I get the point. The other things I question include the assumption that what a massive person can tolerate in terms of soap residue and the single drip of condensation.If you're worried about soap residue give them a lick, if it doesn't taste soapy it's fine. It's non toxic enough for dishes, and the lids aren't even going to be in the water. Maybe a drip of condensation might get into the tank.
