Must have been a newborn shark?

Most likely. Here is a partial Mastadon tooth. The giant bone hunks are either Ground sloth, Mastadon or whale. They are the largest bone chunks I have ever found

My fabricated tool. The Peace river has (mostly) a gritty sand bottom, to larger gravel, even fist sized rocks. Just drag the bottom, shake the sand out and observe. Rarely does a scraper load not have several shark teeth in it.

These days I just use water bottles and a pocket knife for small fish
