So I just fired up my 530g tank and i filled it yesterday. The was a definite bluish hue to the water and it doesn’t look 100% clear. There are no fish in it yet. Is this typical with such large tanks? It’s 8ft x 4ft x 30in (tall).

I wanted to move my fish over to the tank today with all of existing filter media but I’m a bit worried. Here are some pics. The tank is in a virus so it’s definitely darker and I think the wall paint color also has an impact.

What type of glass was used in the build? If it is regular float glass, it will have a greenish/blue tint to it.

impossible to say with any certainty, could be a number of things including wall color as you stated. I don't recall ever seeing a large acrylic tank with a bluish tint to it.

You just set up your tank it’s gonna be a little murky especially if you xfer over old media. Add your fish and a few days it’ll be fine

After you add fish you should expect another cloudy period, a bacterial bloom is usually common after a new tank is set up.
instead of blue it will be a whitish/grey haze, and there is nothing you can do about it, because bacteria are too small to be filtered out. You just need to wait it out, sometimes it last a week sometimes a month, but after a while equilibrium will set in.

Hard to tell from pics really, have you got a proper aquarium light on it?
I reckon with one would brighten it right up?!
And you are taking pics longways, what is it like from the front?
