It's a 80x48x30 plywood tank I built. 1GPH drip and it stays a nice 80* even though the controller is set for 77. Attached an older photo, and I have a build thread too. I am currently planning an "L" shaped build with steel frame that will almost double the tank volume from ~470 to 880 plus sumps.
Man that tank is awesome. I've considered trying to build myself a plywood tank. I've watched videos on how it's done, and it doesn't seem to hard. I'm good at building, but it would be my first attempt and to be honest I'm quite nervous at trying it haha. I keep asking myself what if it doesn't hold water? what if it leaks? So many what ifs. I want a huge tank. Built stands, but never a tank. The supplies are there for me, but I just need to grow the sack to do it haha. This looks awesome though man. I love it. Can't help but picture this in my garage AKA my future fish room. Don't tell my wife that though. She will approve, but she just doesn't know it yet.
I never built 1 before, I did shop in High School and am somewhat handy. Go big or go home man. I'm currently planning and upgrade to this tank.
haha I like your style. You are right though. I guess it's time to nut up or shut up. Time to start planning.
