Heaters as Furniture...

I just thought I would share this amusing development. Ever since my female rope fish showed my male some dominance biting, my male has taken to hanging out in a rather different place. He drapes himself over my heater and just chills there. He is also now using it as an anchoring point for swimming out and getting food. (I thought this was pretty clever on the part of my male).

Thanks for the head's up ; I check him at least twice a day to see if he is showing no signs of burns. So far so good.

There's lots of places for him to hide. Both of the ropes have become really adventurous and exploratory. My females' favorite place to hide is inside this buddha statue thing I have and he just loves the heater. I'll definitely check that out to keep his skin safe.
