How does one manage to handle mold and humidity when making a huge pond?

i was thinking of making a 3,000 gallon indoor pond when I get older and I was wondering how would you heat the pond (I plan to keep one Arowana, one peacock bass, a green terror, a shortnose gar, some oscars and some catfish and bichirs), and with heat, comes humidity, with humidity comes mold, so how would you heat a large tank and deal with that humidity?

Live house plants combat mold growth, you can also open windows or get a dehumidifier

How much would a dehumdifier cost to run? and opening windows you have to worry about bugs and rain and snow and other stuff, and how would you heat that big of a tank?
For fish tanks just heat the room a couple degrees above what you want the water.
Room heaters work for me, I just keep them away from water or fire hazards

As far as leaves and insects, screens stop most of that if it bothers you.

And when it rains keep the windows closed

hmmmm, ok thanks, problem is what would I do with the floor :P
I'm thinking just put it in a garage or something like that since the basement rarely goes under there

Do like I do and get yourself a dehumidifier. At 3,000 gallons you'd need a commercial sized one. I've done the research and the cheapest commercial ones tend to run ya 1k.
Also here's a little tip. Do yourself a favor and invest in some garden hoses to empty it automatically so you don't have to empty the bucket several times a day.

i dont know if i'd be able to afford it, and what bucket would I have to empty?

That humidity has to go somewhere. A dehumidifier condenses the humidity and catches it in a container to be drained. Big tanks, come with big cost man. Just electric each month for me 2 tanks is pushing $40 so almost $500 a yr to just run my tanks. That doesn't include water for water changes or my drip system. Plus water conditioner and other items to keep the system going.

You're 14 planning for the future with a 3,000 gallon pond and you're not sure that you'd be able to afford a 1k dehumidifier? No. I'm not discouraging you from planning, hell, I'm doing that now, what I'm trying to say is that if you're actually able to get a 3,000 gallon pond then a 1k dehumidifier should be no problem.
