How does one manage to handle mold and humidity when making a huge pond?

Plants tend to increase humidity. They pump water through their roots and out their leaves into the air.
what if I were to just have the windows open and stuff? Or would I be able to use some sort of lid? problem is I do not know how to make such a large lid, maybe a tarp?

I did the same as a guy mentioned. I insulated as much as I could, created a cover, and found a big efficient dehumidifier

Ok guys thanks for all the help, I think a type of diy lid (polycarbonate probably) would be best and connecting the tank to my water heater would help heat the tank
Make sure you use a good prefilter before running from hot water heater to the tank
no I heard you can have a tube of water run from your hot water heater and have it run through a sump or something
