Platinum Jack Dempsey attempt

Not in this data. I have two spawn from ‘Jack’ though. The second one, which is a pairing with a gold, is huge. BbGgxBbGg crosses should get me platinums with ‘Jack’s’ lineage.
I wonder if his unique marking will make it thru. His patterns in Platinum would be a sight to see.
Hey I bread some spices of Central American cichlids but I just put together a dedicated Jack-Dempsey breeding tank I keep up on water changes and temp on the warmer side is there any issues you had and any tips you may know of ?

What size tank and what temp? How many Jack's do you have and what size? What else in the tank?

Is a custom 40 long 2 jacks and a few Otos just to help out with the cleaning while the jacks arnt to big keeping around 80 for the temp
40 gallons can work. If the JDs are larger (like 4+ inches), it would be tight.
If the pair bonds well, you’ll be fine. If they don’t bond well, and you need to add dithers or other jacks to induce the pairing, 40 gallons will be tight —- they prob kill the dithers.
Give the female lots of hiding places.
