Hi Everyone
As some of you might know, Im pretty new to the World of rays..
Our journey started about four and half years ago when the first rays were allowed into the Country
Up until now, I have tried to read up and learn all i could on these awesome fish.. raising the tiny babies we got, caring for them etc...
I have a lot to learn still and i always read through all the threads especially when rays are sick and what the causes could be and treatments etc..
Some of our rays are now reaching breeding age and we have had two litters in the last year
Every now and then I see threads where things go wrong, being it due to parasites.. bacterial infections, water quality issues... and one question often comes to mind
What happens if things go wrong, for whatever reason, and you need to medicate a tank where there are gravid rays?
I have read through tons of threads but not really found any mention of this
The sticky on the list of meds that are safe for rays also doesnt really mention it
I thought I would start this thread for the benefit of those that are fairly new hoping that some of the experienced members might share their knowledge on this
The most common treatments that i have seen recommended and would appreciate some input:
Salt
Prazi
Metronidazole
Nitrofurazone
Kanamycin
Paragard by Seachen
Anyone willing to share their knowledge and experience would be appreciated...
