I’m a compound guy. It’s so hit and miss with trad bows it drives me nuts. I haven’t figured out how to use them well enough to hit a target somewhat consistently. Whereas with the compound I can consistently make kill shots at 50 yards. With the occasional mishap of even the slightest and you can be 1’ off target.
I haven’t hunted yet but I am training up to hopefully go out this season.
I’m a man and I like to cook. Our knife block for our kitchen consists of Henkel Damascus steel knives roughly, $1500 set with sweet wooden handles. We got it on a huge sale though so I think we only paid about half that. But beautiful blades
I do actually have a great sword. We have had issues with people checking cars for being unlocked and just swiping stuff out of vehicles in our neighbourhood, I have personally lost a few hundred dollars from my console that I was planning to buy groceries with the next day.
I have always fantasized about seeing the perp checking doorhandles one night. Come outside with the sword, yell hey, and draw it .... just to see what happens or if they ever come back.
I find they usually run away.
They almost never fight like men, but if they were real men they wouldn't do things like rob....
As far as bows I prefer recurve, a little more skill is required, but a good recurve has better range.
As far as hunting goes why not practice on house sparrows and Eurasian starlings, both are invasive with negative affects on native birds.
