Which college football teams to watch this fall 2018

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I thought this was college football but its turning into a NFL thread. It might be different if I was raised in Philly or ATL where theres pro teams but I enjoy college way more than nfl.

We're all about college football here. Teams I like to watch are alabama (of course), auburn, Georgia, lsu, sec in general, Texas, Texas a&m, Wisconsin, Ohio state, va tech, & Oklahoma. This time of year you have no idea who's who until the contenders separate themselves from the pretenders.

Dolphins; Eagles; Raiders; Lions; Seahawks; and Jaguars so far on my list of teams to avoid. I might get to watch games between the other teams if this is the extent of things
hello; Need to add the Broncos to the above list as two players stayed in the locker room during the anthem. That makes seven teams I will avoid for sure and may just watch college and not try to find acceptable NFL combinations.

Hello; Started watching college football this evening. Watching Colorado State vs. Hawai'i right now. Hawaii is way ahead so far.
I think the better games may be next weekend. I am confident I will get the TN vs. W VA game as I live about 50 miles from Knoxville.

Hello; As may be guessed I would like to discuss the NFL and the anthem protests and did start a thread about that not quite a year ago. That thread got closed because, in my opinion, some who did not like my take on the subject began to use unacceptable language. The tactic worked in that the thread was closed.
I am avoiding a discussion about merits of the anthem protests and will limit my comments to making a list of NFL teams who continue to have some form of protest during the flag ceremony.
The gist of this thread is intended to be about picking college games to watch this coming season. I do not know as much about college teams to be able to determine what is likely to be a decent game. I will learn but welcome suggestions if you happen to have any.

There's not anything that really stands out until Sat

Washington vs Auburn should be worth a watch. Malhzon is supposedly going to turn over some control to his qb.

How will Ohio State do with their head coach gone for 3 games. Oregon State is usually decent enough to knock off someone that sleeps on them

Texas should be showing signs of life with their new coach now. Red river rivalry should be good .

Appalachian State has been known to upset top dogs and Penn state is without Barkley

Hopefully the Vols can get their head out of their butt and take out WV

Northern Illinois and Iowa will probably be a good one.

Then you have Mich and Notre Dame. Their both probably over rated but should be a decent matchup with a good bit of penalties.

Bama and Louisville might be decent. Louisville has a top receiver out and several detractions including the head coaches father passing away. It might get ugly quick if they come out flat.

Sunday
You get Miami vs LSU which should be good. I don't know if orgeron can get LSU pointed in the right direction but I hoping for the upset.

VT and FSU is a classic acc matchup which should be a good game to catch after work. VT is hurting pretty bad on defense so it depends on if they can step up. Probably be a high penalty game. I think FSU will cover

I'm a SEC fan so I want to see how strong everyone looks especially in the West. GA is another one that should be a beast

Depending on your package you should get everything. I refuse to buy sec network but I have access to about everything except a few West coast games. You could probably watch the game at McDonald's where you're located
