If you can make that you can make a weapon, lol

Some tips: dowels can easily be made into arrows.
Knives are really just flat pieces of metal with handles, really simple to make., just use a grinder or file to sharpen the edge, heck I've seen good knives made out of railroad spikes by a 8yo
I've made my own knives, both of steel and glass. The glass ones look cool, and I carried a glass-wood-and-string dagger for a while, but they are useless. As for the steel ones, for $10 you can get a nice knife, and you either spend a lot of time and sweat with a file, or waste a grinder blade to get a bad knife if you do it yourself. Stainless steel dinner knives make cool daggers, though. I haven't carried daggers since high school. I don't want to get in trouble if I have a knife, I want it to be useful. BTW, I was a pro cook for a while (for a school) and I never had a knife that cost more than $25.

A lot of guys will carry swords strapped to their backs out here while biking, I always thought that was cool

As far as hunting goes why not practice on house sparrows and Eurasian starlings, both are invasive with negative affects on native birds.
I see that going so badly... Aming for a small fast moving target, misses, kills the neighbor's cat... Or the neighbor.

My most expensive knife is around $150 but it was a gift from my mother in law. I wont spend more than $50 for a full set. I'm not a pro chef so I can't see spending that much money on it.

you don't have to hit em while flying, you hit em when there on the ground, easy shots, can be taken thru open windows, but starlings learn quick so bait them, be sneaky and move around when they catch on that your in the area

Or...just hear me out guys...you could NOT kill stuff. You could just sit on the couch and watch football and I'll get you some nachos and beer lol.
Sitting down and watching football does not:
Solve enviormental problems.
Increase gray mass in brain.
Keep you fit.
We must kill, to live!
Expand or die!

I dont take issue with killing if I need to eat, to defend myself or my family, or to prevent or end the suffering of something. But no life should be taken callously. I see enough death every day.

Agreed,I either eat what I kill, or feed it to something else, nothing is wasted and I keep it humane.
