i have a fantasy Pacman frog that is doing great but no longer really has her awesome coloring. When I got her she was brown, green and albino strawberry pineapple markings. Now just shades of brown. Anything I can do to get the nicer colors back? Thanks

Granted, it’s an ornate and they’re a lot more colorful already. But try what Deadliestviper7 Deadliestviper7 said about gutloads and krill. Maybe try some pac attack. Much less hassle to feed than live IMO. (This isn’t his tank, I was soaking him while I cleaned the tank.)

You can use tongs to wiggle them in front of slower to eat frogs. If needed, you can push the pellets against the frogs mouth and they’ll usually take them after that. For texture you can dip them in water real fast. They absorb quickly and turn to mush so not too much water. The back of the package tells you how to make a “mega pellet” for bigger frogs. Just put water on a couple at a time and smash them all together.

How are you keeping it? Diet could be it, but it could also be one of hundreds of other factors. How are you keeping it? Temps? Humidity? How long have you had it? How often are you feeding? Any hiding spots? How big was it when you got it? Do you have any pictures from when you first got it?

It is in a 36 x 18 plastic tote with coco fiber. The temp is about 79 and humidity ranges from 65-80. I have had him 9 months and has at least tripled in size. I feed her three times a week for the most part. She doesn't always want to eat. Now she gets gel food for the most part. A pinky once a month and occ meal worm. She has a water bowl and a half log. She uses the log sometimes but prefers to bury herself. I don't think I have an pictures of when I got her.

The picture from above is late January and head on is February. The dark picture eating the worm is from March. I feed him in a separate tank most of the time 13F95B2A-19AB-4F3B-B75D-D49541612CBF.jpeg2FF0DB35-AD41-4F5F-8085-4BAD09034B78.jpeg3D4CA2B1-13CB-4525-A2B6-5B2C7E22B848.jpeg

Its just genetics to be honest. Cornuta are brown to begin with then you add a brown cranwelli to the mix. It's still s nice looking frog

I find that the green ones keep more vibrant colors.
