Any good way youve found to tell the sexes apart besides vent? Doesnt seem to be much difference appearance wise in severums.
a lot of them are differentiated by the amount of facial markings/worming. Efasciatus are pretty easy to tell apart as are Rotkeil. Red and gold efasciatus can also be done teh same way, but are often very difficult to tell apart because they are line bred and females can also have some worming on them as well.
Liberifer can also be very difficult to tell apart. Males seem to always have heavy spotting on their gill plates and females seem to range from none to mild spotting as in my pair.
Notatus are the easiest to tell apart as they are heavily dimorphic, but look the same as juveniles, then change their appearance.
The severus pair that I have havent actually laid yet, so I can't confirm sex yet, however one has very bold striking worming while the other does have light worming that seems to come and go.
The Inirida are still to young right now, but they do seem to be developing differences.
