Sad Sad day in the fishroom :-(

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's very sad to hear but anyone who has been in the hobby long enough will have these type of mistakes happen as we are human. Hell, I fell asleep watching Major Payne while my 220 with a sump was filling onto my hardwood floors and my wife was pissed to say the least. Of course that happened to my display tank in the living room and not the into fish room on concrete!

The only thing I despise are the idiots posting videos of their dead fish on Youtube for views...

Sorry for your loss, it's a painful lesson, and anyone in the hobby long enough has killed a few fish, the point is to learn from our experience or at least try.

How about for restocking you do:
American eels, blue sucker, single buffalofish, and a bunch xanthic redbreast sunfish and some crappie, with some bullheads

Beautiful tank, now that you have an arowana stocking options change. I would peruse the arowana sub forum in the ancient fish section for ideas

Yeah it’s been everything I can do not to do another native tank lol. Especially cus the channel cats in there are native (not so much the albino ones lol) but they were never supposed to end up in there they just did. It was supposed to be an Asian themed tank....

for ideas you could go for a dovii, a fahaka puffer, an arowana, gar, various large cichlids (oscars, black nasties, green terror), a ripsaw catfish, stingrays, bichirs, eels, some goldfish or koi

My best girl wanted me to do stingrays but they are hard to get at a reasonable price here. I’m not about spending over a grand for a fish that my local fish store can’t get to eat...

I’m a huge fan of catfish and I’ve had far in the past and they are super awesome fish.
