Cool Ideas for a 29 gallon tank?

That is a lot of fish. You could do it, but the tank would look like this, and probably need likena daily 50% waterchange.
I was going to use a 75 gallon canister filter and sponge filter, also, don't otocinclus and cory cats have a low bioload? my current 29 has 13 kuhli loaches, 3 dojo loaches, 2 smaller plecos, 3 red eyed tetras, 2 albino cherry barbs, 4 peacock gudgeons, and 1 albino red tail shark and they do fine with a 25% water change once every 1-2 weeks

rummynose are my favorite community fish!!! freshwater puffers look like a cool fish to keep. ive never had them yet, but they look like fun

I had 3 rummy nose, my regani dwarf pike cichlid ate them all 1 by 1.

Filter size does not make you need less waterchanges. Only plants or weird anaerobic filters can do that. Look into aquaponics. I have that on my 10, and I only change the water occasionally because some people say you get mineral buildup. :) BTW, My 55 has 5 Praecox, 1 guppy, 4 2" Redheads, 2 3" rainbows and I do 20-50% weekly with plenty of plants, and have unreadable nitrates.

ok, I'm not sure if I'll get the tank or not, but if I do I think I'll go for the tetras, otocinclus, corydoras, etc. I do have duckweed and cardinal plants in my 29 gallon right now and also have some pothos in there (I don't know if it is working though, it looks like the plant might be dying)

Why not a couple rainbow dace? One of the most colorful fish out there, fairly small and isn't kept by every dick, harry and sally?
