okay so I’m on the fence about doing a trade for an “Abino” Arowana... I hear that their eyes should be red if it’s true albino... this one doesn’t seem to have them but body color looks a bit different from a silver can you tell me what it is if it’s not Albino?

It’s not a true albino arowana, the albinos have the red eyes and cost a pretty penny.
Leucistic?

It looks rather like an albino. The red eye effect can be lost depending on lighting. There are a couple knockoff albino lookalikes in the hobby, in particular the snow diamond or whatever silly name it had that Segrest started pitching about five years ago. They were pretty fish at significantly less than the very rare true albinos at the time though, so that was nice. Harold51162 Harold51162 post some more pics and we'll give you better feedback.

Also, moved to arowanas.

Nice discus by the way.

He's definitely not a normal lol.

There's been enough strange "patented" silver aro morphs pumped out over the past few years that I haven't been paying much attention to the hobby that I'm not sure if this thing is supposed to have some other name or not.

This thing damn sure looks like an albino however. The leucys are normally more white, what we'd call a snow aro.
