The Most Horrible Local Fish Store You Have Seen

I think they are closed now but I don’t know for sure... they never had a website or anything
So between walmart, petsmart and petco, which would you guys rather buy fish from? Which is worst and which is best out of your experiences?

Of them can be terrible, I don't buy fish from them anymore, I try to hit well run mom and pop joints and nonchain stores
I brought that up because some of the petcos that i have been to lately have been nearly pristine. I have never been able to say that about the other two though.
Some petcos actually care for their fish, their used to be a smart man in the fish section at Walmart, and he kept the best Walmart stock I've ever seen and was actually knowledgeable on his subject!
The walmart near me is better than the nearest petsmart but its still not that good. The worst are the smaller chain stores like the one i wrote about. I walked into another one to see a bag of dead fish floating in one of the tanks. Like they had put them in there to temperature acclimate them and just forgot about them overnight.
The dead fish could have been previously collected, frozen and were going to be fed to other fish.I have seen that done in some shops.
Petco is too out of the way for me. If I'm going to drive out of my way it wont be for a chain store. So that leaves the choice of walmart or petsmart. If its a last resort I would buy from Petsmart. But the one here, everything is always infected with ick and worms. Even seen quite a few fish lice in their tanks. ...Havent bought from a chain store in yrs tho.
