Pair of Chancho

I got this pair of Amphilophus Chancho from Ken Davis on Oct.1 2018. I was excited to find them because they are Willem Heijns line and I’m not sure how many pure chanchos are around in the Hobby. They have been growing very quickly and seem to have formed a pair bond. Photo is bad because it is in one of my tanks that is not a show tank. But you can see the female is in a breeding dress and they’ve been hanging out in a clay pot together for about 4-5 days .

Thanks everyone. Yes I have seen GuapoteMels his is very nice. My biggest inspiration to get one was Andy woods cichlids uk Andy woods cichlids uk Chancho "Tank".

Looking good! I got 6 for $10 from Ken as well - he had a bunch of nice Amphs at the Atlanta Aquarium Club auction that all went really cheap. COTA usually has them as well, and Dan says his came direct from an importer. I’m hoping to create some good genes.
