I'm not sure who said that they do not like azuls but there is no best or worst,you whichever species you like and can keep in the size tank that you have.

Most young cichla are skittish and will dash about whenever someone nears or moves past their tank.Where are you located? I may be interested in taking some off of your habds.

Are you asking this because I'm upset I got azuls? If so that's just because I wanted tems and was sent the wrong thing. Nothing against azuls just had my heart set on tems they are my favorite.
 
I almost went with them when buying my peacock but found one local. Glad I didn’t spend the extra money on shipping to get the wrong species. Sorry, that sucks.
